Greetings Lake Highlands!  It's a great time to be a Wildcat. On the heels of winning every UIL District 9-5A Championship for Fall 2008, the Volleyball and Football teams did exceedingly well in the playoffs. The Lady Wildcats advanced to the State Semifinals to eventually fall in four games to Westlake in a heartbreaker. The Wildcats advanced to the Regional Semifinals to succumb to Klein Oak.

Our beloved switchboard operator, Rita Greenfield, "the Voice of Lake Highlands" is retiring in January at 89 years young!  A retirement reception will be held in her honor.

Based on input from RISD staff and community, a minor change has been made to the proposed 2009-10 Academic Calendar.  The RISD Board of Trustees will officially adopt our Academic Calendar in February. You are invited to view the proposed calendar and make your opinions known.

It's on to Regional competition for the LHHS Academic Decathlon team!  The team cleanud up at District, placing in every subject!  Nine of twelve members placed in the top three in at least one subject.
